Winnipeg, MB –Sport Manitoba’s Sport for Life Centre is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Michael Cembroski, BSc, DC to the team of professionals at the Sport Medicine Centre.
Dr. Cembroski holds a strong belief in a team approach to health and wellness. He joins a team that already includes a sport medicine physician, physical and massage therapy, and nutrition and psychology services.
“We are thrilled that Dr. Cembroski is bringing his practice to the Sport Medicine Centre,” said Director/Senior Therapist Rickie Walkden. “This provides an opportunity for Manitoba’s athletes as well as the community, both in Winnipeg and rural areas to have access to a full range of services in one convenient location.”

About Dr. Michael Cembroski: Born in Edmonton and raised in Winnipeg, Mike graduated the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in 2000. He moved to Minneapolis to attend Northwestern Health Science University, College of Chiropractic graduating with a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2004. During this time, Mike also completed his EMT certificate and worked at the University of Minnesota Emergency Medical Services.
Moving back to Manitoba, Mike has worked in Brandon and Hamiota and opened a private practice in Winnipeg in 2006. He enjoys treating players from the sidelines and can be found at a Winnipeg Dynamo Kyiv Soccer game. Mike joined the Sport Medicine Centre because of a strong believe in a team approach to health and wellness.
About the Sport Medicine Centre:
The Sport Medicine Centre, located in the Sport for Life Centre at 145 Pacific Avenue, is a multidisciplinary clinic that offers an exceptional level of quality patient care for sport medicine and orthopedic injuries. Additional services offered at the Centre are physical therapy, massage therapy, nutritional counselling, sport psychology, and now a sport medicine physician. The centre provides a full range of health services, which will also include chiropractic care in the near future. Patient care is always one-on-one and the clinicians will work directly with coaches, parents, doctors/surgeons, and other team members to ensure the best rehabilitation outcomes. www.sportmedicinecentre.ca
About the Sport for Life Centre:
A unique facility in Canada, once complete the Centre will house sport expertise, administration, training space and tools, exercise and sport facilities, a Sport Medicine Centre, and Hall of Fame in one central location. The Centre is an 114,000 square foot renovation/build-out project being built in two phases. The first phase is finished and includes 62 Provincial Sport Organizations, a Sport Resource Centre, education and training space, and a Sport Medicine Centre. Phase 2 will include the completion of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame & Museum and the building of a fieldhouse featuring an indoor track, multi-purpose space, strength and conditioning equipment, and aerobic training space. The Centre will provide seamless transition between training, coaching, testing, and therapy.
